The student work conference 2010

Do you want some inspiration for your student work for next year?

Or time out with your student team before the freshers arrive? Or just want a weekend in Birmingham?!? Read on...

The mission is still vast. Only 2% of students are connected with church and student culture continues to be filled with unengaged consumerists. But today's students are the leaders of tomorrow. Their values, beliefs and experience will reshape society. With more and more young people heading to university each year and new universities opening up, this growing mission field is becoming increasingly important.

Many churches are responding to the need by finding new ways to connect with students. Student workers, full, part and spare time, are becoming vital in facilitating community and releasing students to make an impact on and around their campuses.

The Student Work Conference is returning this year to develop, resource and connect church-based student workers in their challenging role. Taking place over two days in September, it is a perfect opportunity for you and your student team to take some time out before freshers arrive.

We know that church-based student work is a specialist activity and that the challenges are unique. A full programme of main sessions, seminars and time to share stories and ideas will inspire and provoke you. On hand will be a range of specialist practitioners and cultural experts to motivate us with new and fresh ideas.
