We Should Vote

We should vote because we have a voice that will write the future.

We should vote because our beliefs, our principles and our thoughts need to be heard.

We should vote because we need to reject the stereotype of political apathy amongst young people and reverse the trend of falling turnout (in 2015, only 43% 18-24 year olds showed up to vote).

We should vote because we are a generation of hope, carriers of an eternal perspective that shapes our every decision.

We should vote because we are a people anchored in prayer, sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

We should vote because we need to model respect and unity when our newsfeeds are full of criticism and petulance.

We should vote because it is never a waste of time to exercise our freedom.

We should vote because our rights to democracy and to express our opinion should never be taken for granted.

We should vote because our hope is infectious and our love is courageous.

We should vote because our call as followers of Jesus on this earth is to love one another, as Jesus has loved us.

We should vote because we know the truth about who really reigns on this earth.

We should vote because we have a voice that will write the future.
