Time is ticking

According to the clock in my kitchen it is half eleven and it has been for the last four months. It tends to baffle our guests who come for dinner. We’re in a time of year where everyone seems up to their eyeballs in to-do lists and essays are coming in thick and fast. Time is thin on the ground.

What are you filling your time with? The student world continues to change rapidly and a student’s time is limited. Have you committed to another series on Netflix, is Fifa 15 taking up a few hours worth of study time a day? Are you busy essay writing all day on Sunday so can’t make church? Being a student is a brilliant time to start prioritising and learning about time management for later on in life. Use your uni years to develop foundational time management skills.

Paul addresses this in Ephesians 5 ‘Live life, then, with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who do not know the meaning and purpose of life but as those who do. Make the best use of your time, despite all the difficulties of these days.’

Its time to start prioritising the important. God is interested in you focussing your time and energy on His will for your life. How do you need to shift your priorities and prioritise the important? Book in time to chat to your student worker or a friend you trust that will keep you accountable to your time management and prioritising.

Time will go quicker than you think at uni, be intentional about how you invest into who
