Just the one

‘We only have one undergrad student’

One student – but a church we recently connected with in London is doing brilliantly in their investment and commitment to student mission in their city.

This church leader rearranged his weekly schedule and made space to meet up with and mentor their one student, Mike, for about an hour each week. A year later and Mike is being raised up as a leader, is part of the core leadership team and is putting student mission on the agenda of the church. He’s taking part in our Student Work Training and networking with churches across the UK to see how ground can be broken in their church community to reach students at his uni. He’s inviting other students and spotting others who can join and build up his team.

One student, but a big investment. Small beginnings, but they’re investing with big faith that more is possible in their community and that every single student is worth the cost of time and energy.

Where are you investing? Where are your small beginnings?
