My biggest regret about what i did at uni...

Uni is one of the best experiences of my life so far…

It was so much FUN! I made life long friends, learnt loads, it challenged my perception of the world and how I study. I also got plugged in to a local church on my first week. I spent my three years of uni in that church, serving, being mentored, discipled and helping to lead the students there too. It was the best decision I’ve made, to find a church, commit quickly and be totally grounded in a solid Christian environment throughout my uni years.

My biggest regret of uni?

I didn’t join a society.

I thought I was too busy! Having essays to write, church meetings to go to and a social life!

Looking back, I know I would have loved to have tried something new and have more friends than just those on my course. It would have given me a larger group of mates to show Jesus to and I would have been stretched in new areas!

Uni is a time to try something new and maybe step out of your comfort zone. Try a new sport, make some new friends and get involved in uni life. Don’t spend all your time in Christian meetings, but hang out with other people, living well in uni and showing them Jesus through your lifestyle. Be grounded in a local church so you can be discipled well and kept accountable to how you live in these new situations. Make the most of your time and your faith at uni- you won’t regret it!
