Saturday 27th November, 11am till 4pm
St Nicholas Church, Durham £5 registration fee (lunch provided)
What is the aim of a worklinkup day?
To equip, encourage and commission students, graduates and young adults to make a difference for God through their work and remain fully committed to being part of a local church.
Who are worklinkup days for?
worklinkup days will benefit any second, third or final year student and anyone who has started work in the last five years. (Book into an upcoming day)
What does a worklinkup day look like?
The day will run 11am till 4pm with a simple buffet lunch included and a couple of coffee breaks. The day will consist of 4 sessions that include a mix of presentation, personal stories and group discussion and exercises. They focus on
1. Understanding God’s purpose for you through work
2. The challenges and opportunities of work
3. Creating healthy expectations and applying biblical values in the next lifestage
4. Tools, ideas and resources for starting the first decade of work well
What does it mean to host a worklinkup day?
At the moment worklinkup days are sponsored, so the cost is very low – just £5 per delegate. The commitment to hosting a day is that at least 20 delegates will be guaranteed by your church or those you are partnering with. The aim is to attract 50 delegates through broader advertising and for a suitable venue with sound and visuals for the expected number to be provided.
Would you like to host a worklinkup day?
Graduates are leaving university disorientated by the challenges of young adult life and ill prepared for the world of work.
To see hundreds more local churches investing in the preparation and equipping of finalists and graduates for a life of work, mission and Kingdom fruitfulness.
