Students...
Catch the vision.
What if you decided to make your time at university all about living for Jesus and sharing him, in everything? What if you were counter-cultural and viewed your degree as a way to glorify God and share him with people? Decide what, or rather who, you are living for and what you are about, and it’ll shape your uni experience, and the rest of your life...
Don’t go it alone.
God has placed other followers of Jesus around you for a reason. Meet up with people who will encourage you in your faith regularly. Get a couple of people to be accountable with and support you in the tough stuff. Pray with other Christians and remember the Bible is your indispensible weapon and guide...you are not in this alone.
Essential Church
Commit to a church in your university city for the duration of your degree. And by commit, we don’t mean just turn up on Sundays, we mean get stuck in. Serve. Join a mid-week group. Get on a rota. Connect with people who are older and wiser than you. Bring your mates who don’t yet know Jesus and introduce them to the family!
Doing life together
Sharing Jesus isn’t about organising specific events to tell people the Good News. It’s about doing life with the people around you, honestly, openly, and accessibly. Make it normal to talk about church in your house and invite your mates along. Make Jesus a natural part of conversation. Live out your faith with your friends: the good, the bad, and the ugly bits. We won’t be perfect at it, but we serve a perfect God who still uses us.
Keep equipped
