Top 10 for a Missional Life

At the Resonate day last week our Swansea group of students were chatting about how we can be missional in our everyday lives at uni. These were their top thoughts and ideas on how to live a missional life day in, day out at uni.

1. Start as you mean to go on. Talk about Jesus, church and your faith straight away. The longer you hide it, the harder it becomes to talk about it.

2. Be authentic. Be the same person on the dance floor as you are in a church meeting. People can smell a fake a mile off. Act what you believe.

3. Talk about Jesus as if you were talking about the football. It’s normal. It’s life.

4. Hang out with church friends and uni friends together.

5. Host a student lunch in your flat, inviting each others flat mates and church mates together.

6. Pray for your uni mates. We have the holy spirit living inside of us and so have the power to see answers to prayers in our friends lives. Pray with them or just tell them you’re praying for them.

7. Invite them to church! People can always say no.

8. Talk to your friends about what God is speaking to you about at the moment

9. Actually spend time with your Uni friends. Don’t spend your whole life in Christian meetings, but be in the world.

10.Have fun!! Show those around you that Christianity is the best way of life. We have purpose, friendship, community, love, hope, forgiveness and fun!
