The Dancer

Sitting at Glasgow Queen Street station I'm buzzing.

Five days in Scotland has not been enough.  I've met probably the most diverse range of  people in one trip yet and it's given me a sturdy burning fire in my belly for the Church.  The church is not dead.  I have met men and women, students, teenagers, a nurse, a Frenchman, a bible school student, an administrator, a prophet, and a dancer, all with one thing in common - they live for Jesus.  There really is no other name in heaven or earth that could bring them together, no other common passion, they are the church.

This is God's plan for the spread of his good news, God's plan for the revelation of His kingdom to those who are broken, blind, lost, hungry, poor, consumerist, dissatisfied, empty.

This is his way - a man, a woman, a student, a teenager, a nurse, a Frenchman, a bible school student, an administrator, a prophet, a dancer.

Is this not the most beautiful thing? Here is the church in all its diversity and beauty and you're missing the point if you don't see that it is beautiful.  It is strong and mighty like a roaring lion and 'the gates of hell will not overcome it!' The church is His bride, and it's alive and kicking.

Praise God!
