Students have an amazing ability to harness creativity, hope, passion and hard work and make amazing ideas become a living reality. Students and their friends from across different churches in Bristol are combining a passion and an idea to create Bristol biggest ever charity ball, happening next week!

Our purpose is to party and give all that we raise to Unseen.
This May a huge amount of volunteers have come together to put on a ball for students and young adults, championing an anti-trafficking charity which works with policies as well as survivors. Ticket holders will be welcomed with a champagne reception, delicious canapés and plenty of music. A stunning band, Hot Pursuit, will be fuelling the dancing with their funk, Motown and pop covers before the DJs take over.
What has blown me away as I’ve been project managing this event is the response of people when asked to run a specific area. We have a cross church internship heading up the champagne reception, a professional chef doing the canapés, a local church’s tech team getting the vibes loud, maths graduate and web designer running all media elements, a student physio nailing the ethereal décor, a medical student and anti-slavery campaigner giving a shout out about the work of Unseen, local acoustic artists lending their talents for free and many other people on hand to get the party going and running smoothly.
Its amazing what can happen when you just go for it - we might only be students and young adults but we've brought together an amazing dream and its going to change lives!
